Dear Customer,

Japanese Treasure House is a newly opened shop in the Antique Village on Kensington Antique Row, located in the historical town of Kensington, Maryland.

At this tiny shop, you will find authentic Japanese pieces ranging from daily-use ceramics and tableware to artworks, including basketry, traditional crafts, prints, and beautiful items from other countries.

There is a phrase known as Yō no Bi 〔用の美〕 in Japan, which means everyday objects made for common use have intrinsic beauty, and it will be revealed itself further through use over time.

The shop owner, a Japanese native, would welcome you and wishes to pass this concept as well as an appreciation towards our predecessors’ craftsmanship to our future generations.

This is the perfect place for exploring and finding unique and exquisite pieces for yourself and your loved ones. Please enjoy visiting the charming Antique Village and stop by at the Japanese Treasure House Free parking is available on the premises and around the corner.

The website images of the shop’s offerings will be updated as frequently as possible. However, sometimes merchandise may have been sold by the time you visit, so please feel free to inquire anytime at the e-mail listed below.

I look forward to seeing you soon,
Kinu Matsuyama
